So now that I've had a little time to let the loss to Tech over the weekend sink in; I'm okay with the reality that Texas is no longer undefeated. I will admit that seeing a #4 ranking in the BCS Standings made it just a little easier to swallow; and lets be honest with some help from our friends in Oklahoma and Florida, Texas may just be able to make it to the title game.

In a true clash of the titans on Saturday, Texas was able to come out victorious in their first true test of the season. Leading the entire game, Texas was making a last drive that would have sealed the game when Colt tried to do just a little too much and the Cowboys forced a fumble deep in their own red zone. Luckily the Longhorns defense was able to hold and the last second Hail Mary pass was batted down giving Texas their 8th win of the season.

Play after play after play, Colt leads Texas down the field and continues to show why they are the number 1 team in the nation. Add to the offense a defense that has yet to give Missouri a single score and you've got a statement. Heading into the half Texas takes a 35-3 and if I know Mack Brown they'll continue to put the hammer down in the second half.

The numbers comparison is just stupid in time of possession and first downs, but unbelievably both Chase Daniel and Colt McCoy have some pretty equal numbers outside of the fact that Texas has 5 TD's.
