In a true clash of the titans on Saturday, Texas was able to come out victorious in their first true test of the season. Leading the entire game, Texas was making a last drive that would have sealed the game when Colt tried to do just a little too much and the Cowboys forced a fumble deep in their own red zone. Luckily the Longhorns defense was able to hold and the last second Hail Mary pass was batted down giving Texas their 8th win of the season.
Outside of that mental mistake, McCoy was once again almost flawless, passing for a personal best 391 yards on 38 of 45 passing. Just in case your keeping count that puts him at 83% for the season now; so at this point the Heisman crown is still his. Yes, I know he threw an interception, but he is just a man, although I'm sure most opposing defenses would beg to differ. At this point in the season he's been able to survive against the #1, #11, #6 and what will be the #5, #6 or #7 team in the nation depending upon which poll you review. So even as a fan, I'm going to have to bury this win and get ready for Tech.
