It's official, not only is Texas number one across the AP and the USA Today Poll, but they also officially hold the #1 spot in the BCS Rankings. I'm not going to get to far ahead of myself and start saving the date in January, but I will say that things do look rather promising right now.

The major concerns that I have are still with the Texas secondary, but under the leadership of defensive coordinator Will Muschamp I believe that the will continue to improve. The phrase one game at a time has never been more true that it is right now; especially when those one games include:

1. #6 Oklahoma State Cowboys
2. #8 Texas Tech Red Raiders
3. #19 Kansas Jayhawks
4. Past 2 Year Matchup Winner Texas A&M Aggies

Oh yea, then tack on top of that a little match up with either Missouri or Kansas again; depending upon who comes out of the Big 12 north. I guess what I'm saying is one little slip and the National Championship hopes will be nothing more than a memory. Ah, who am I kidding; Texas has this thing in the bag, and they're smart enough not to buy into the hype!
