Leaving Win-Win for Jevan Sneed & Colt McCoy

Remember back in 2006 when the departure of Vince Young was such a tough pill for Texas fans to swallow? At the time Colt was a redshirt freshman and Jevan Sneed was a highly recruited true freshman and both were competing for the starting quarterback position. Colt eventually and went on to shatter numerous Texas freshman quarterback records and let's face it before he leaves he should hold almost all of them.

Jevan eventually transferred to Ole Miss and is finally getting to play this year after sitting out a year due to the transfer. While he's not in contention to win the Heisman Trophy, he has brought a program that won less than 3 games last year, to a program that you can't overlook. The departure of Jevan truly has been a win-win for both players and schools. Texas got their guy and looks to be a contender this year and should be again next year as well, while Ole Miss has more to shout about than they have since the Manning days. In fact, they beat a tough Florida Gators team down in the swamp. Let's be honest, Ole Miss isn't going to make a BCS bowl, but a least they got their man too.
